Samsung HT-C6500 : Blu-Ray Home Theater

The good: A 5.1 home theater system with built-in Blu-ray player; two HDMI inputs; outstanding sound quality for a home-theater-in-a-box system at this price range; Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, and Pandora streaming; built-in Wi-Fi; plays music, videos, and pictures off a connected USB drive or via network; 1GB onboard storage.

The bad: No wireless rear speakers; requires a dongle for iPod connectivity, rather than a sleeker built-in design; buttons on top of the player are inconvenient; last year's Samsung Blu-ray players had reliability issues.

The bottom line: The Samsung HT-C6500 packs outstanding sound quality, Blu-ray playback, and tons of features into an excellent home theater system, with only some design quirks holding it back.
this is just one in a century i think you should go for this one

Apple Mac Book Pro

just a small post about the macbook pro

The good: Adds fast, efficient Intel Core i5, i7 processors, new Nvidia graphics, seamless switching between integrated, discrete GPUs...

The bad: At the top end of the price scale; still no HDMI, Blu-ray, or other high-end options.

The bottom line: Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro keeps the same look and feel, but offers major internal changes, including an optional Intel Core i7 CPU, making it a very serious portable powerhouse.

Laptop Overheating Solution

So you've had your laptop for about a year or more now. And recently you've noticed that it's been getting hotter and hotter when you touch it after leaving it on for a few hours.
Laptop's fans are netorious for collecting dirt, dust, and other chemicals in the air. Some of the things suggested in this article should help you cut down on your heat issues and keep your computer breathing better.

Laptop ventilation systems are in weird places, such as underneith the laptop, on the sides, and in rare instances right next to the keyboards.

Because of this here are a few tips to keep your laptop's heat down.

1.Put your laptop on a cooling rack (like the ones for baking). This alone allows your laptop's bottom to breath better and circulate air flow in a more effective mannor.

2.Use a can of air on your vents every few months or so. This will help expell out the dust and prevent dirt from clogging up the inside of your computer.

3.Don't leave your laptop on a bed or couch. Because the laptop sinks in to the bed, the ventilation system can't do it's job and keep the laptop cool enough to operate.

4.Durring high pollen seasons, limit the time you use your laptop outdoors. These particles are nasty and clog up systems faster than anything else.

5.Avoid smoking near computers. This will cause nicoteine build up on your fans and burn them out. And a burnt out fan disables your computers ability to keep it self cool.

6.Consider investing in a USB powered laptop cooler. I use one of these on my laptop and I've noticed a significant increase in performance when I'm using memory intensive applications.

7.Put your computer into standby when your not using it. The less the computer is on, the less heat it will generate and prevent it from over heating.

I've seen many computers and laptops destoryed because of problems with ventilation. Avoiding risk factors can keep your laptop in great shape and around for many more years to come!

HTC Evo 4G - black (Sprint)

The good: The HTC Evo 4G delivered respectable 4G speeds, and the mobile hot-spot feature lets you connect up to eight devices. The smartphone has a front-facing camera for video chats and also comes with an 8-megapixel camera with HD-video-recording capabilities. The Evo ships with YouTube's HQ video player, Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, and an HDMI port. Other highlights include an extra-large 4.3-inch touch screen and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

The bad: Sprint's 4G network is limited at this time, making the mandatory $10 premium data add-on tough to swallow for anyone outside of the coverage area. The Evo lacks support for Bluetooth voice-activated dialing. Battery drains quickly with 4G.

The bottom line: The HTC Evo 4G is easily Sprint's best smartphone and one of today's top Android devices. It also shows the promise of 4G, which will grow as Sprint's WiMax network expands, but until there's broader 4G coverage, it's hard to agree with the mandatory premium data add-on fee.Review:

apple ilife 11

There you have it. Shockingly enough, iMovie, iPhoto, and GarageBand have all been modernized sufficiently to merit having their names appended with '11. iPhoto '11 is taking the early demo lead in the live event, with hot new slideshow themes. Gee, Steve, you're building it up nice and slow, huh? There are added Facebook and email sharing enhancements and new full screen modes that make it look a lot like ... an iPad app.

iphoto11

Movie '11 will freshen up the audio editing options (finally!) and add "one step effects," a People Finder that identifies individuals in movie clips, and an apparently effortless movie trailer maker. Intriguing. The audio tweaks include per-segment sound levels adjustments as well as easy fade sliders, there are also additional new audio effects for people to play around with. 24fps video editing and output is now supported, allowing you to export more film-like trailers using the templates thrown into this new software. Good news on the upload front too, as direct sharing to Facebook and Vimeo has also been added.

imovie11

Apple is adding FlexTime, Groove Matching, more guitar and amp effects, new piano and guitar lessons, and finally a "How Did I Play" feature to GarageBand '11. Groove Matching can be summarized with a quote from the Cupertino crew's Xander Soren: "it's like an automatic spellchecker for bad rhythm." As to "How Did I Play," that's a mixture of post-play analysis and a Rock Band-like live note monitor, which highlights in green the notes you strike correctly or in red the ones you miss. It works with both the guitar and piano.

gargageband11

iLife '11 is available today, as a free extra on new Macs or as a $49 upgrade on differently new Apple machines

The first in its class, the Alienware M11x is an ultraportable gaming notebook with real power and an impressively low starting price.

Positive
Ultraportable gaming notebook
Fantastic design and durability
AlienFX LED lighting

negative
Limited processor options
No matte screen option

The new Alienware M11x is the latest gaming laptop from Dell's Alienware team and might be the best thing to happen to PC gaming this year. This impressive little box is the first ultraportable gaming notebook with an 11-inch screen and a weight of less than five pounds. If that's not enough to get you interested, you might like to know that it costs $799 ... almost the same price as less-powerful 11-inch notebooks with the newest Intel low-voltage processors.

conclusion - surely buy it if you need a gaming performance laptop or if want a normal one its not for you

negative
1.email {bad}
2.syncronization {ok-ok}
3.video {FAIL}
4.speaker{really bad}{as usual}

conclusion
The iPhone 4 is an excellent smartphone, the best one in fact. This is quite a step up from the iPhone 3GS, thanks to the display and the many improvements in the OS. If you don't have an iPhone but want to get one, I would recommend the iPhone 4 over older models, despite the antenna issue. If you are thinking of saving $100 by going with the 3GS, take a good look at the total cost of ownership over 2-years. You might realize that $100 is not that much of a stretch if you consider that you will be using the device *everyday*. Instead, cut down on yourStarbucks consumption to make up for it. The pricing of the iPhone 4 is very comparable to other smartphones, so I don't think that pricing should be a decisive factor. Instead, the design, user interface, app library and responsiveness will determine if it works for you or not. If you are afraid of the "death grip" issue (read above), wait until a permanent solution is found, but going straight to a 3GS would be a mistake.

Worlds first ever computer game

In 1952 A.S. Douglas created a computer version of Tic-Tac-Toe on an EDSAC computer and wasting time had it's foothold.
Spacewar! is generally accepted to be the first true computer game and was written by Steve Russell, a computer programmer from MIT in 1962, strictly for computer play.
If you wanted to play Spacewar! in 1962 you'd need a PDP-1 computer, which was about the size of your family car, and a cathode-ray tube type display and keyboard input.
The goal of the game was to maneuver a spaceship and shoot your opponent before he shot you.

use Google as a Calculator

How to use the Google calculator?

Many time when we are online we need to some mathematical calculation, you can do this by using google calculator easily .

Google-Calculator

Google’s calculator tries to understand the problem you are attempting to solve without requiring you to use special syntax. However, it may be helpful to know the most direct way to pose a question to get the best results. Listed below are a few suggestions for the most common type of expressions (and a few more esoteric ones).

Most operators come between the two numbers they combine, such as the plus sign in the expression 1+1.

Operator             Function            Example

   +                     addition                3+44

    -                   subtraction              13-5

    *                   multiplication          7*8

    /                     division                  12/3

     ^                exponentiation          8^2

    %                 division                       8%7

choose             X choose Y              18 choose 4
                         determines the
                        number of ways
                      of choosing a set
                        of Y elements
                      from a set of X

                          elements

th root of        calculates the            5th root of 32

                     nth root of a number

% of              X % of Y computes         20% of 150

                       X percent of Y

Some operators work on only one number and should come before that number. In these cases, it often helps to put the number in parentheses.

Operator                 Function                    Example

sqrt                      square root                     sqrt(9)

sin, cos, etc.   trigonometric functions      sin(pi/3)

                                                                   tan(45degrees)

ln                       logarithm base e                ln(17)

log                     logarithm base 10           log(1,000)

A few operators come after the number.

Operator           Function           Example

 !                        factorial                    5!

windows phone 7

The first thing you notice with the Windows Phone 7 is the “lock screen”. This screen gives you a quick glimpse of important items such as current time, date, what meetings you have coming up next, the number of Gmail/Outlook items unread and text messages that you have not read. This is exactly the reason that I used to jailbreak my iPhone. It saves you from navigating through several screen to find out you have read all of your messages or when your next meeting is.
The “lock screen” slides up and you are presented with tiles that you can rearrange like the iPhone’s home screen. (Press and hold down a tile to rearrange them.) The home screen has the typical Phone, Messages, Mail, Calendar, Web Browser and Pictures. What really sets this phone apart from the crowd is the way you can customize it.After taking a look at the home screen, you will soon realize that this is not your typical Windows Mobile Device. The phone is built around social networking and you. I have developed apps for the Windows Mobile 5-6 platform and it was a horrible experience. Mainly because I didn’t want to use the phone due to the UI. The Windows Phone 7 fixes all of that by having a UI that is easy to use and just plain fun. I absolutely love the Zune software compared to iTunes. It is an attractive application and is very simple to get your music/video onto it. Below is the main screen for Zune on the phone.

These applications are bundled with the phone. I’ve created a brief description below:

· Alarm – You can set days of weeks, sound and even multiple alarms.

· Calculator – A standard calculator.

· Calendar – Sync with Outlook, a must for people in the corporate environment.

· Camera – Includes zooming on the model that I have. The picture quality wasn’t that great on my LG phone.

· Games – Xbox Live experience, includes Friend Request, collection, spotlight, gamer tag info.

· Gmail – I always HATED have one mailbox that mixed my company/private email. You can setup a separate tile for Gmail and Corporate mail. You should also note that you can use other email accounts that support POP and IMAP.

· IE – The browser still needs some work, I tried several sites and it didn’t look that great. I have heard this is based off of IE8, so give it a little time. I have pictures below of it in both orientations.

· Maps – One of the best features is the map, as it is drawing your current location a cloud surrounds it until your location is returned. Hard to describe but fun to watch.

· Marketplace – This is going to make or break the phone. What good is the hardware with no software? I have seen a lot of developers working on apps for the marketplace and hope it has enough apps for people to use it.

· Messaging – SMS in a nice conversation style.

· Music+Videos – Zune, great software see above.

· Office - It ships with the phone (no software download necessary). It includes OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and you can even open URL on SharePoint Server 2010. I played with the applications and it seemed easy enough. I can’t say how much that I would use them as it’s just too hard to type a document on a small keyboard.

· Outlook – The main screen splits it into “all”, “unread” and “urgent”. I love the simplicity of the opening screen. All of the normal email functions are available.

· People – Very easy to flip through and find the person that you want to dial. It includes a thumbnail pic of the person as you scroll.

· Phone – Pops up with a call history first, you can easily find who you want to call through the People tile.

Final thought: Yes, I am very happy with the phone and believe that it will do very well if the marketplace can catch up with Android and Apple. I love the UI and it seems the more that I use it the more that I like it. I will be sad when the Microsoft person asks for it back and I have to use the iPhone until release. I am planning to buy a Windows Phone 7 on launch date. I have added pictures below of the apps on the actual device. Several people have commented that they want to see what it looks like on the hardware instead of a high res screen shot from an emulator. Feel free to leave comments/suggestions regarding this post.
